Frankincense

Obtained from steam distillation of the gum resin of the small, bushy Boswellia carterii tree, frankincense (or olibanum) has long been associated with spirituality. Like myrrh, it was a prized possession in the ancient world, rivaling the value of many precious gems and metals.
Frankincense essential oil contains monoterpene compounds, which give it asstringent, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. It supports the body's moisture-restorative process and helps improve dry, chapped, mature-looking skin. Frankincense is especially usefull to the respiratory system during seasonal changes. Its centering aroma also slows the nervous system and promotes feelings of calm and introspection.

Helichrysum

Known as imortelli, helichrysum offers a unique array of benefits. This sharply scented oil is probably best known for its benefits to inured and problem skin. Helichrysum contains antiseptic, antispamodic, anti-inflammatory, antiviral and antibacterial compounds, making it an excellent addition to any first aid kit.Pregnant women should not use helichrysum. Lavender Fine

With a mellow, peaceful fragrance, versatile Lavandula angustifolia is a wonder to experience, especially for the nervous system. How could anyone not be soothed by such a powerful aroma? It may also be applied to joints and used by women during monthly periods. It's a great essential oil for all ages.

Lemon (organic)

The stimulating sunshine-bright aroma of Citrus limonum has several benefits for the immune, lymphatic, circulatory and digestive systems. Let's not leave out additional benefits of its antiseptic properties. (Do not use prior to sun exposure.)

Myrrh

Myrrh oil is steam distilled from the resin produced by a small, tough, scraggly tree that grows in semi-desert regions of North Africa and the Red Sea. Ancient cultures made Myrrh an integral part of religious rituals, health practices, beauty treatments and perfumery. Over 2,000 years before the Magi were said to have presented myrrh, frankincense and gold to the Christ-child, myrrh was a precious commodity along the spice route. Because supply was limited and demand was high, it became as valuable as gold.
Myrrh contains compounds that have antiseptic, antifungal, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It is commonly applied to the mouth and gums and may be beneficial in supporting the respiratory system. Many gain emotional benefits from the scent of myrrh, including strength, focus and clarity. It is also a wonderful scent for people with feelings of apathy.
NSP Myrrh Essential Oil is 100 percent pure wildcrafted Comminphora myrrha. Use it externally in massages and skin care. Myrrh may also be inhaled.(Do not use during pregnancy. Do not use near eyes or mucus membranes. Keep out of reach of children. Stock# 3939-3)

Everyone loves the clean, fresh smell of Pinus sylvestris. It seems to promote alertness and mental focus. But don't forget its benefits for the respiratory and urinary systems. (Not for use on children under 5; it can be a strong skin irritant.)
